Tasty Pot-Buffet BBQ Steamboat

I faced another round of 'battle' last night, and this time around it was at Tasty Pot- A Buffet BBQ Steamboat Restaurant. More and more steamboat restaurants are mushrooming in Sunway Mentari and Tasty Pot is one of them. Due to the quality of food they serve, it's definitely worthwhile for me to blog about.
When we reached there at 7:30pm, there were score of people already started their 'battle'.
There are 6 different kind of soup bases for you to choose; Soy Bean Soup, Curry Soy Bean Soup, Hong Kong Satin Porridge Base, Chong Qing Spicy Soup, Thai style Tom Yam Soup and Herbal Chicken Soup. Soy Bean Soup kinda new to us, therefore we chose Soy Bean Base and Porridge Base.
Make or create your own dip-sauce with different ingredients provided.
You can add different ingredients like yam, pumpkin, old cucumber, 'mok yee' black fungus and etc. to enhance your soup base's taste.

Different type of veggies...
Different type of balls... meat balls, fish balls, sotong balls, prawn balls and all sort of balls.
More balls....
Seafood section...
Prawns, Sotong, Jelly Fish.....
Different types of shell seafood..... bamboo clams, mussels, scallops & etc.
Crabs, oyster, cockles...

Ready-cooked items...
Curry chicken, sweet and sour fish, braised chicken feet, fried rice and fried meehoon (vermicelli). 2 empty tray had been sent back to the kitchen for replenishment.Their signature dish- Deep-fried chicken wing with a coat of special sauce. Very crispy and yummy!
Ready-grilled potatoes, sweet potatoes, sweet corns, sausages and fish.
Selected seafood ready to cook.
Cooked seafood in my porridge based pot.
What a crab! Unlike others, they serve big crab.
As a non professional crab eater, I know craps about eating crab, so I just pick the crab claws.
If you are sick of eating the poached version, just ask Mr. Thomas and Mr. Billabong to help you grill your seafood. With their helps, very fast my crab claws were ready to eat.
The whole lamb being grilled. The lamb was very tasty. The only letdown was their sauce. They should serve with mint sauce instead of their 'special' sauce. (I don't know what sauce was that)
The grilled sotong(squids) -Not a small sotong they used. It was quite thick and grilled to perfection.

Aftermath....
The catastrophic scene above resembled a powerful strike by tsunami ?
Look at the crowds. Can you imagine it was a Tuesday night? Be there early if you wanna to try them out. Only RM23.80 nett per person excluding drinks, one hell of a 'battle' folks!
