Read carefully, it's in Greenlane Penang not Greenland. Actually I was undecided if I should post this as the previous 2 times I visited this Soon Lai Seafood Restaurant and really happy with their foods. Every dish that we ordered was really good and the portion was huge. But unfortunately on this recent visit, 3 out of 4 dishes that we ordered were just...... so so! Nothing to shout about. The only one left is the dish that you should not miss when you pay a visit to the restaurant.
Yes, It is the 'Nestum Prawn' that you should not miss. It's the best that I have ever tasted (so far la). It was only RM12.00 for 6 pcs XL size's prawn.
The braised pork trotter is tender enough but the taste is so so only. The portion was huge and it was priced RM16.00.
The sizzling tofu was also OK only. It was just RM10.00
The broccoli was below par! You should avoid this dish eventhough it was only RM8.00.The total bill came to RM60.00 for 3 adults and I kid. Well, actually the bill should be only RM52.00, but they charged us extra RM8.00 for a dish which we didn't order. We did not check the bill properly and end up paying a generous 'tips' to them.
